• What does a moving van cost?

  At Sharely, you can rent a moving van from around CHF 75 per day. At the classic car rental companies, there is so much rush, especially at the well-known moving dates such as the end of May and the end of September, that the prices there rise massively. (We tested this once for Zurich and came to CHF 252.70 per day on the moving weekend). Buying your own car would of course be even more expensive and would cost you at least CHF 5'000, plus the maintenance. By renting, you use the vehicle flexibly and only as long as you need it.

• How big should a moving van be?

  Thanks to the large selection at Sharely, you can find the right van for your requirements. For a complete move, it's recommended to have as much cargo space as possible so you have to drive less often. Remember: In narrow streets, however, this can become a disadvantage. • What driver's license do I need to rent a commercial vehicle?

  If you want to rent a moving van, you have to take a look at the permissible total weight. With the classic category B driver's license you can drive up to 3.5 tons. Above that, you need a category C1, which allows you to drive up to 7.5 tons. You can find an overview of the categories here.

• Which moving vans can I rent?

  If you want to rent a train car, first consider the requirements. For example, depending on the goods to be transported, the loading area may need to be rather long; for other projects, a tall but short vehicle is helpful. Likewise, the transport route is decisive: If you want to rent the moving van to travel within a city, you do not need a powerful engine. For longer distances, however, it makes sense.
