Rent as a Borrower

  • Find an article

    Use the search function and filters, or just let yourself be inspired by our wide range of articles.

  • Send a request

    Found what you are looking for? Then send a binding rental request to the lender, and wait for a confirmation.

  • Arrange article pick up

    Once the lender confirms, you will agree on the pick-up and return conditions together and your rental experience can begin.

  • Return articles

    Return articles in the same state as you received them, treat them as if they were your own. If they need special cleaning or are damaged, fees may be charged. Finally, don't forget to rate your sharing experience.

Rent as a Lender

  • Gather your articles to lend

    How many things do you have at home that you don't use regularly? Sharelians will love these, and so will your wallet.

  • Upload your articles

    Take some pictures of your articles, upload them, write a short description and decide on a price. You're all set!

  • Respond to requests

    You will be notified for each request: accept or reject within 24h. Then, get in touch with the borrower to arrange pick-up and return. Once you get the article back, rate your sharing experience!

  • Update your profile

    Remember to also update your Sharely profile with a picture and a short introduction. It will help Sharelians to know you better and build trust!

What you should know

Who pays for what?

The borrower pays the rental through Sharely when it is accepted by the lender, when creating a rental request the amount is reserved via TWINT or a credit card.

Sharely pays 80% of the rental amount (excluding insurance) to the lender after the rental is completed. 20% of the rental amount goes to Sharely.

This allows us to operate the platform, constantly improve it, provide support, securely process payments and handle insurance claims. The insurance premium is calculated depending on the item category, item age, item value and rental duration.

Change of plans

A rental request that has not yet been confirmed by the lender can simply be deleted.

If a rental request has already been accepted, don't worry, the cancellation can still be made free of charge until 23:55 on the day before the rental.

After the 23:55 on the day before the rental, the full amount will be charged on the borrower.

We respect your privacy.
Personal data is only processed with the consent of the users, unless the processing of the data is permitted by legal regulations

On the platform, only your first name and your objects are visible.

All other informations like: last name, phone number and address, will be shared only after a rental request is confirmed, at the moment to set up the rental.
